'ProEd' is an amalgamation of the words 'Process' and 'Education' because we believe that the journey is as important as the destination. What we learn on the way makes an important difference to our growth, development and achievements.

We stand poised at a turning point in history, as we enter the new millennium, with unprecedented challenges. These key challenges in the world environment are highly dependent on technology and intellectual capital. A strategic response in education must be effected. The emphasis is not only academic achievement, but to develop the full spectrum of talents and abilities of every pupil.

The process-centred and value-oriented approach in this consortium aims to equip every pupil with the necessary skills and values so that they can go wherever their unique talents and abilities take them. In other words, they must possess "process skills" and not only content knowledge, within the framework of a set of core values.
