About Us
Ortus is a Latin term meaning a new beginning as well as a rising star.
Ortus in Chinese, is known as '启元'. The Chinese word '启', featured in the logo, means activation, opening up new, unexplored horizons. The Chinese word 'yuan' means beginning, an origin, being the first of its kind. This is especially meaningful to Ortus as a consortium, as it's emblematic of the fresh new start of a new entity upon the merger of its predecessors - Quest and Radix.
With this understanding in mind, Ortus strives to inspire our students to explore the unexplored arenas, to take on new challenges, to set a new pace for the race, and strive to be the best they - Ortusians - can be.

- To develop students holistically in the intellectual, social, moral, physical and aesthetic domains.
- To plan and support programmes that facilitate leadership development, character and guidance education.
- To mould students into critical, creative and caring thinkers.
- To provide platforms for independent, customized and experiential learning.
