A very warm welcome to Aphelion Webpage!

This year we have 126 Sec. 1 students posted to Aphelion Consortium and we would like to extend our welcome to them to Hwa Chong and to Aphelion.

You will learn more about these values through the school assembly sessions and form teachers contact time. But most importantly, I hope you will embrace these values and make them show in your lives.

The focus this year for the consortium is to provide a holistic education for every student according to his own ability and potential. We definitely hope that you could reach out and stretch for the sky. Always avail yourselves to the various programmes and opportunities that the school and Aphelion have provided for you to hone your leadership skills, develop your characters and shape yourselves into fine gentlemen.

Remember our Aphelion Motto: BUILDING BRIDGES, REALISING DREAMS. Dream big and take steps to realise those dreams.

Aphelion Consortium aims to provide an environment where our students can stretch themselves to their fullest and their best, initiating useful innovations and pursuing greater personal development.

There are many bridges to build in life: family, friends, schoolmates, future working colleagues and personal networks. There are also bridges to future education, personal targets and goals and life's ambition and career. Aphelion students will be challenged and continuously reminded through their motto, Building Bridges, Realizing Dreams, to constantly build bridges in their lives so as to realize and experience the fulfillment of their dreams and to maximize their personal potential to the fullest.

Objectives:

To pool resources, in terms of time and expertise, of teachers so as to provide new educational opportunities and experiences for the students to enlarge their capacities.

To complement our educational approach with the development of strong character and sound values, which will take them through challenges in life.

To instill self discipline, personal drive and intrinsic motivation to excel in students.

To prepare students to be effective leaders both in school and society.
