Singapore Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools 2012 (SMOPS 2012)
Since 2010, registration to participate in the Singapore Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools can be done only through the respective MOE primary schools. Letter of invitation will be sent to all primary schools before Mid February.
There will be 3 categories to the winners of the SMOPS 2012, which will be held on Saturday, 14th April 2012:
• The top 3 schools ranked according to the total score of their top three students
• The 10 top Individual Prizes, which will be given to the top 10 scorers
• The 3 Honourable Mention Team Awards and 5 Honourable Mention Individual Awards, which will be given to the outstanding teams and individuals respectively.
Students who are among the top 10% or the top 200 participants, whichever is lower, in the SMOPS will be invited to the Invitation Round and Prize Presentation Ceremony to be held on Saturday 26th May 2012 at the Hwa Chong Institution's campus .
During the Invitation Round, local participants will have the opportunity to interact and compete with top mathematics geniuses from countries in the Asia-Pacific region. 40 individual prizes will be given to the top 40 participants of the APMOPS 2012.
