NAGIVATION

Youth for Community Activism Symposium (YCAS) is an inaugural symposium organised by the Hwa Chong Institution (College Section) CIP Executive Committee.

Proudly supported by REACH (Reaching Everyone for Active Citizenry @ Home), this symposium focuses on raising awareness of the tenets and applications of Service-Learning (S-L) to formulating feasible solutions to real community problems in four key community sectors. Over the three days of the symposium, participants will attain a thorough understanding of Service-Learning, interact with representatives from governmental and non-governmental organisations of their allocated community sector, visit locations around Singapore relevant to their sector, identify the problems faced by their sector and eventually formulate feasible solutions to tackle them.

The Guest-of-Honour for this event is Dr. Amy Khor Lean Suan (Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, REACH Chairman).
